“My head says you can’t do it - my instructor says. You can - you did already and guess what???? I did - I rode several waves today and got to feel the power.  The mind can work for us and against us. I just need to keep remembering that.  It was amazing. I LOVE being out there and I’m so thankful to have Christopher Elliott teaching me and encouraging me along. It’s SO much fun!!! Native Surf Lessons. I even had a little cheering squad on the beach. I had been down at Cherry Grove Beach a couple of times and saw this guy Chris From Native Surf Lessons he was teaching people to surf. I have always wanted to do that and decided to stop and ask about lessons. I asked if a 60 year old with a bum ankle could learn? He said no problem. On the day of my lesson he started out with the basics on land. Soon moved into the water. Chris really works closely with you. Before I knew it I was standing up and riding the waves in. It was a blast! Thanks again Chris and @nativesurflessons. If you are in the Myrtle Beach area and would like to learn how to surf, I would highly recommend them!
